Refunds

When you get your money back.

This is a brief, not the wording. The points below are what this document has to cover. Nothing here is live terms, and we are not going to generate plausible-sounding legal text and let it look finished.

What this document must cover

  • The position on digital content under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: the 14-day right exists, and it is lost only where the buyer expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing it. State how that consent is taken.
  • What happens when a lookup returns nothing, or the registration is not found — our position should be that you are not charged for an empty report.
  • What happens when a data source is down or returns an error part-way through a bundle.
  • What happens when the report is wrong because the underlying record is wrong.
  • How to ask, how long a refund takes, and to which payment method it returns.
  • That nothing here removes rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
