Weigh it, or get the plate figures in writing Ask for the gross and kerb weights for that exact van. The difference is your payload, and a converted or racked-out van can be hundreds of kilos heavier than the brochure.
Ask for a battery health readout, taken in front of you A van that cannot finish a round is worthless to you whatever its MOT record says. No record shows this — only a physical test.
